Do you know it was shot by shot copy paste of a foreign film!

What a fabulous merger of dance and landscape! I in fact passed through this very landscape yesterday and always remember it in conjunction with Sholay. I was fascinated to learn more about the specific geological characteristics and will be remembering them and this piece the next time I watch the movie:)

Thanks Priyanka! It's incredible how landscapes carry certain associations — in so many ways, memory, is a fourth dimension of landscapes.

I quote “The cult classic directed by Ramesh Sippy is synonymous with mainstream Hindi cinema.”

It feels very shameful to have praised this film. It is shot by shot copy paste of a foreign hit film. No creativity involved except indianisation of dialogues.

Even Malegaon ki Sholey is better because it gives credit to the copy paste director and they accepted it!

Thank you so much for reading Pankaj! Sholay is peak cinema. Waiting for your film’s Gabbar to give us another landscape to fangirl about!

Thanks a ton, Pankaj. Glad you enjoyed it. Let us know if you ever shoot a film — we'd be tickled to offer suggestions on the dance sequences and landscapes! 😂

Art means creativity. If anyone is copying then it is not art it is business!

But taking credit as artist and accepting award as artist while all knew before making the film that it is going to be a hit film.

I regret because they created a culture due to which our people are suffering outside India. Watch it in full, if you wish to know the harm such creators did to our nation.
